Network Monitoring

PRTG Traffic Grapher is an easy to use Windows application for monitoring and classifying bandwidth usage. It provides system administrators with live readings and long-term usage trends for their network devices. PRTG is mainly used for bandwidth usage monitoring, but may also be used to monitor many other aspects of a network such as memory and CPU utilization. The user receives detailed and comprehensive bandwidth and network usage data.

Paessler Netflow Tester dumps the data of all Netflow packets that a computer receives from a Cisco router. This can be useful when debugging bandwidth monitoring configurations based on Cisco's Netflow protocol. First the Netflow protocol must be enabled and configured on the router. Then the router must be given the IP address of the computer running Netflow tester so that the UDP data packets with Netflow data are sent to that computer.

CommView Remote Agent is an application for remote network traffic monitoring. It allows CommView users to capture network traffic on any computer where Remote Agent is running, regardless of the computer's physical location. After the installation CommView Remote Agent is ready to accept connections from CommView, capture packets in its network segment and transmit them to CommView.

CommTraffic is a network utility for collecting, processing, and displaying traffic and network utilization statistics for both LAN and dial-up computer network connections. When monitoring a LAN segment, CommTraffic shows traffic and network utilization statistics for each computer in the segment. CommTraffic has a highly customizable, intuitive interface that displays statistics in graphical and numeric form.

CommView is a program for monitoring Internet and LAN activity capable of capturing and analyzing network packets. It gathers information about data passing through your dial-up adapter, Ethernet or Token Ring card, or loopback interface and decodes the analyzed data. With CommView you can see the list of network connections and examine individual packets. Packets are decoded down to the lowest layer with analysis of most widespread protocols.
